Fame at last...
The San Jose Mercury News were looking for interesting cats. So I told them about Elliot. Now he's been in the media. I hope it doesn't go to his head..
Elliot was probably born in 2000 or 2001. Where, we don't know. He found his forever family at the Oakland SPCA where he had been hanging out for several months with the dogs rather than in cages like the other cats. Named by them, Sir Elliot Awesome Earhair for obvious reasons, this 18lb cat is probably some kind of maine coon cross. His earhair is not his only freaky feature. Elliot has a curly tail, like a pig, but with long hair. So it looks like a fan stuck on his butt. Elliot behaves more like a dog than a cat, in fact I'm not sure he knows he's a cat. He's cowardly, scared of his own shadow, but intensely loyal and affectionate once he has decided that you can be trusted - or if you give him ham. One day we'll write some children's books about him and his escapades with our cat tribe, particularly Princess Chelsea. This blog is a start...
